The key for circular housing with low MPG

The key for circular housing with low MPG

The current Environmental Performance of Buildings standard (MPG) of 0.8 is easily attainable, says tender expert Menno Schokker of Merosch.

‘Clients with circular ambitions should aim for an even lower MPG, for example, 0.5.’ OAK Bosrijk proves that this is possible. This is a project of 45 energy-neutral and fully demountable homes. An MPG score of 0.47 was achieved, thanks to modular timber frame construction and facades have been processed.

Schokker: 'The production of the building modules takes place at Barli in nearby Uden. That saves transport movements and puts less strain on the natural environment.”
